I’m helping my mother to raise fund for grandfather’s hospital and palliative care fee and also for her financial problem

• Grandfather was admitted to CGH on 8th April - 14th May and moved to palliative care on 15th May , he was intubated 3 times and currently depending on tube feeding

• He was diagnosed with heart failure (10%) , pneumonia , hepatitis b and peripheral artery disease. No operation/surgery can be done due to his heart failure condition.. His left foot is getting worsen day by day due to peripheral artery disease , currently on Fentanyl to ease his pain. Grandfather deteriorated alot and also having hearing problems too. He might be gone anytime , we want to make him feel happy and at ease without much pain . Seeing him suffering up till date makes us feel sad and alot emotions.

• His heart failure was triggered by serious lung infection, he had been feeling unwell and having shortness of breath for quite awhile and it was till 8th April that he can’t take it and was bought to CGH A&E by ambulance..

• Im also helping my mother to raise some funds as she has been taking care of him from the day he got admitted . She is a single mum with 3 children, low income family that is struggling and due to grandfather hospitalized , she has no income up till date as she had to stop her work to takecare of him.. She is closer to my grandfather among her siblings. She doesn’t want to leave him alone at the ward as she knows that he will be looking for her after awhile of not seeing her around. She is also currently financially unstable due to her not working for 1month plus and have to continue to do so as she wants to takecare of him daily before he dies .. She had been overstaying to look after him from the day he got admitted with not much proper sleep (sleeping/resting on chair which is not comfortable for her)..

How will the fund be used?

• Fund will be used on grandfather’s hospital bill and palliative care

• 20-30% fund will go to my mother who is in need of financial support for daily expenses , house bill etc

• Any balance left will go to his funeral when he deceased

His days are numbered , hoping to get as much support as i can. Please help to share around! Your little help would be greatly appreciated!!
