Today, I am storming heaven with prayers and hope as I beg for your help to raise some financial help for a great family who had lost a loving father and devoted husband after a hard fought and a years of long battle with a lot of illnesses. Coping from a painful loss and dealing from an uncertain future is extremely difficult. They are currently carrying a heavy burden of a huge substantial debts and skyrocketing unpaid hospital bills. More so, the family is also facing the fear of losing their home which is the main mission of this fundraising.
Please join me in helping this family in saving their home and help take at least one burden off their shoulders.100% of your generous donations(less GGF processing fees) will be received directly by Uncle Rene's family.
Your spirit of giving and kindness really matters. We will always be eternally grateful to you. Together, let us be their hope.Thank you and may God bless you.
Here is the reason behind this plea:
For everyone who does not know, uncle Rene, started to dealt with an enormous health challenges in 2014. He was constantly admitted in and out of the hospital for over five years and badly suffered from prostate cancer, heart failure, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes w/ insulin requiring, liver failure, lung infections (pneumonia & tubercolosis), sepsis and other complications I could not honestly list down one by one.
Despite of being not well-off, his family stood strong and prepared to face the battle ahead. But what takes an even more devastating toll on them is the lack of medical insurance. Uncle Rene doesn't have any medical insurance so his family had to shoulder all of his medical expenses on their own.The long process of his medications, treatments, surgeries and hospitalizations have caused to deplete their resources. They have 4 children and 3 of them are working, while his wife, my aunt Beth is unemployed because she's also taking care of her parents ages 85 & 88 yrs old who both have dementia. One of the many unfortunate impacts of his medical condition is the interruption of his children from heir jobs. When uncle Rene became physically disabled, one of her children needed to step down and quit her job to focus on taking care of him full time. Due to diabetes complication, he underwent several amputation operations and lost both of his legs. Balancing their finances has been extremely difficult to his two other children especially with his on-going medications. Their financial difficulties even went to an extent where they needed to sell some stuffs like their appliances, furniture and even their clothes, bags and shoes in order to alleviate from all medical and financial strain that they had been juggling. However, all these are not enough to make their ends meet.
Out of desperation to overcome the pending hospital bills and other related expenses, uncle Rene's family acquired a loan and used their house as collateral. Unfortunately, 2018 came uneasy for them. In Feb. 22 2018, uncle Rene was brought to the hospital where he was diagnosed of sepsis, liver failure. His lungs was also covered with plenty of fluids. He was confined for over 4 months. When the discharge clearance was given dated Jun 28, everyone was so ecstatic. Around 6 a.m. of Jun 28, uncle Rene was found unconscious and already in the state of coma. How can you grasp the reality that what supposed to be a joyful day, ended up to be a great pain and devastation. His condition wreaks havoc his family and all we ever do is pray for a miracle. Sadly, none of our prayers yielded to positive results. It was emotionally and financially straining battle. They are facing a situation that no person in this earth should have to face. I am amazed by their faith. I could not even imagined myself being in that kind of situation. They only have a limited financial resources, so limited that they could not afford to pay their loans anymore. They had to prioritized the needs of uncle Rene in the ICU.
Uncle Rene spent almost 7 grueling months in the hospital and passes away last Jan.29. He had multiple heart attacks, brain hemorrhage and succumbed to multiple organ failure because his body could no longer prolonged the ever growing infections. The doctor's adviced was to shut down his life support because his body could no longer prolonged the pain. His family was not yet ready to let him go and waited for few more days that perhaps miracle could happen, but to no avail. Painful and heartbreaking as it is, they left with no choice but to let Uncle Rene go.
The battle of uncle Rene's family is still not over. Aside from the huge substantial debts and skyrocketing unpaid hospital bill they have incurred, the fear of losing their home is what troubles them right now. The lender understand their predicaments and deferred their loan. They only have until May 15th to settle the unpaid loan in full amount. Penalties, interests and other related fees have summed up to an amount they could no longer afford to overcome.
I am begging everyone as I know uncle Rene would have beg the same for his family. If we could all gather some amount to extend to this great family, it would be a blessing. Please let us be their hope during this great devastation in their life and help them save their home.
Thank you very much for you time, kindness and generosity. May God bless us all!
In sincere gratitude,
