Family refugees

When the conflict erupted in Syria in 2011, AJ, and his wife and two children (now aged 3 and 8) lost their house and their family’s one. Both houses were totally destroyed leaving behind a dead 5 year old cousin, and a burnt brother, and an entire homeless family. There is no way to live in such circumstances.

Even , if we look at the option of renting a small apartment to reside in is completely out of content as the city where he was residing is now occupied by different fighting factions and all the inhabitants have been permanently displaced, which makes it impossible place to live in as his youngest son is suffering from Autism, which requires a lot of medical attention and stability which is not available currently in Syria.

Currently, AJ and his family have just been allowed to relocate to Canada, where they hope to find a permanent safe home. A life without secret police, without bombs and without threatens to be evacuated at anytime due to work shortage. In short, they hope to find a better future for their young children.

Their arrival is estimated to be early September 2019.

We are a group of five committed individuals that have decided to help this family resettle in Canada under the Canadian Refugee Private Sponsorship.

We are hoping to raise funds to help AJ and his family settle comfortably in the first few months until they stand on their feet.

These funds will help them:

-Pay back the Canadian government loan for travel expenses.

-Buy few basic furniture.

-Pay rent for the first few months until they are able to find work.

-Cover school supplies.

-Living expenses such as bills, food, transportation.
