Hello, this is the first time we have done anything like this as we are very humble people. I am a stay at home parent and my husband works full time as a Local P & D truck driver. We have three children ages 12, 11, and 4. Recently on June 14 I had to take him to the emergency room for an abscess, it ruptured when we got there and he was diagnosed with Sepsis due to Cellulitis. He was admitted to the hospital that morning and put on two IV antibiotics. The following day he was discharged from the hospital with medicine to finish healing at home. After getting home the pain continued and it appeared that the abscess stopped draining and started getting worse. Finally on June 19, I took him back to the emergency room as the pain got unbearable for him and the abscess would not rupture. He had another CT Scan done which showed that the original abscess was gone and a new one formed only this new one was really big, approximately the size of a pop bottle, and it wasn't on the original CT Scan. Immediately they admitted him to the hospital again and took him to the operating room where the abscess was surgically drained. This resulted in a very large open wound that has to heal from the inside out or it will form another abscess. He was in the hospital for 3 1/2 days the second time and discharged home with IV antibiotics. Now we have health coverage which takes care of all the wound care supplies and his antibiotics as well the twice weekly nurse visit to check up on him/us. What is stressing us out the most is his job is our ONLY source of income. His employer is looking into seeing if he has short term disability to help us out but at this time we don't know. Trying to figure out how to keep a roof over our heads for our three children and keep food on the table for all of us. He is looking to be out of work for at least a month if not longer and with me having to change his wound dressings and hook up his meds I cannot go out and get a part time job or I would have already done that. I am also still looking into programs that will help us out but at the same time we figured to leave no stone unturned. Any little bit will help us and it will be appreciated greatly.

This is a picture of our family a couple of months ago from a rather large family vacation in Tennessee (included just about everyone from grandpa to aunts, uncles, cousins ect.).

  • Hard times hit everyone eventually, and Robert and Angel were among the first to step up and try to help out when hard times hit last year for my brother and his wife. Their kindness and generosity was sincerely appreciated! Paying it forward, on behalf of the Fountaintown Hanleys.

  • This is my son and his family. The next month is going to be very trying for this family. My son is a hard working American Truck Driver... who now understands better what insurance coverage he should carry... however that doesn't help now. Please help by donating any amount you can, we are donating what it costs for us to eat one meal. Every bit will help, Angel is being very frugal and careful with every dime. I know God will meet their needs through the sweet spirits of those they know. God bless you.
