Family Destitute

My neighbors are in severe need of help and I wish I were in a position to help them.  They are at risk of losing their apartment if they don't come up with their back rent in the amount of $1500.  Also their truck is in desperate need of 4 new tires and an exhaust system and a tune up.  The garage gave the husband an extimate of $1250 for everything.  I know that they also have outstanding medical bills that they are being hounded about daily.  The wife, I will call Elizabeth for privacy reasons, has undergone 4 surgeries in the last 8 months.  She has survived cancer but her medication co-pays are very expensive so she has been paying for those instead of paying the rent.  She has had her thyroid removed and requires a medication to replace the thyroid hormone daily in order to surfive.  Also she requires the medications for her post cancer treatment until she is given the all clear sign.  Those medications alone eat up almost half of the total income that she and her husband Ron have coming in monthly.  She cries quite often as she has had another medical issue arise called severe sleep apnea.  She now needs a CPAP machine that she has to come up with a co-pay of $140 in order to pick up her machine.  When she had her sleep study, she quit breathing a total of 93 times per hour.  The doctors told her this is a severe case and that she could end up having a stroke in her sleep or dying due to this disorder.  She is really in desperate need of some help and is too proud to ask for herself.  So, I am asking for her.  She knows that I am doing this as I have told her that I am doing it but she asked that I don't use her real name so that is why I used her middle name to identify her.  If you could just see it in your heart to help her in her darkest hours of need with even a dollar or two, it would greatly help.  She has helped so many people and has been an inspiration to a lot of people in the neighborhood.  She never has asked for anything from anyone before and has always been the one to give to others.  She has taken in kids when they have had no where else to go when they were thrown out by their parents and made a differnece in their lives and turned them around in the right direction.  Now she is the one who needs help.  These kids have taken over her house cleaning and doing her laundry and such but they don't have the finances to take over that burden for her at this time.
