Fallen is a tribute to a British soldier lost fighting for our freedoms in World War 2. It will be a moving and touching documentary reliving the life, work, battles and the death of a British soldier in combat and their family.
We are currently looking at several families who wish to take part, all of them in the same situation - they know very little of their family member and have never been to visit the site of their ancesters death or the final resting place, mainly due to a lack of funds or a disability. We intend to make this documentary as a personal tribute to that one single person and take the family to see the grave and place of death for the first time.
At a time when current servicemen and women are quite rightly being praised for what they are doing around around the world, we hope that some of you will dig deep into your pockets and help us to allow a family put to rest an important part of their history, and have a unique momento to hand down to future generations so that they can be remembered forever.
Every person who makes a donation over €80 will be listed in the credits of the documentary as a sponsor (unless you request otherwise of course) and you will have the pleasure of knowing that you have helped a 20th century hero be remembered. Every single donation helps and each one will have their names listed on the documentaries website as sponsors.
The reason for the need for cash is not for the crew or the presenter (Fia Tarrant - Chris Tarrants daughter) as they have all very kindly agreed to work for free, but money is needed for transport and accommodation for the family to the final resting place, carers and support.
