Faith. Fight. Survive.

Hi Everyone. My younger sister, Eileen Bianca has just been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma after battling symptoms of on and off fever, night chills, rashes and inflamed nodes on her neck.

It was November this year that she complained of body malaise and almost always feeling fatigued.

My sister and I are very close despite the age gap and the countries/ miles that sets us apart. She works as a warehouse assistant in Dubai for 1 and a half years. Being the young, vibrant woman that she is, she was not at all prepared for this illness to happen, nobody is ever prepared to welcome “cancer” in any family.

After being confined in Dubai for 10 days, with 2 different hospitals and numerous doctors, countless times of blood extractions, MRI’s, CT SCANS and finally, Biopsies, she was diagnosed to have Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Our world probably stopped for a minute after hearing the diagnosis. So our family decided for her to go home leaving Dubai with just one luggage and full of uncertainties, so that we can take care of her and be with her on this yet biggest battle of her life.

We are not prepared, nobody is prepared. Life sometimes approach us with different surprises, endless challenges but who are we to complain? Even Jesus Christ endured all physical and emotional pain just to save us from our sins. We stand in FAITH that she will surpass this, we held on to that silver lining, that one day, she will be back to her old vivacious self.

And we need to FIGHT this, we will fight as a family, we will not let the thread go loose and give up this battle. So, I am knocking at your kindest heart to help us win this! And as candidly and honestly as possible, i would say, We are not at all prepared financially. And here, being the eldest sister, i need to step up and help find ways to at least raise funds for her chemotherapy for the next 8 months. Your financial help, prayer offering and even your thoughts of concern will go a long long way in winning this battle.

We will SURVIVE all of this, because Life is always worth fighting for, especially for the people we love.

I will end by claiming God’s promise in the bible, “GOD HEARD YOUR PRAYERS AND SEEN YOUR TEARS, I WILL HEAL YOU.” 2Kings 20:5
