My aunt is in coma as a result of a failed surgery which was claimed to be a simple operation by the doctors. It was a surgery to take a small piece of the tumour in her throat area, so that the doctors can examine the tumour and how to proceed with curing her. Very unexpectedly, this "simple" operation became a life threatening one and my aunt was left in a coma since May 2019.

"Medical complications happen all the time", was the reason the doctors gave which is not incorrect but honestly, as family members this is very hard to accept. We do not know when she will wake up and we have been living in this nightmare for over a year plus.

With the Covid-19 pandemic and prolonged cancellation of flights (Yangon to SG), my aunt's family's main source of income came to a stop. Their savings are depleting at an alarming rate, especially as my aunt's medical bills are around 3,000,000 kyats (approx SGD 3000) per month. My family have also been helping out financially since she went into a coma but the situation is getting worse.

Any amount of donation is genuinely appreciated and will be spent wisely on my aunt's medical bills and to keep her alive and breathing. The donations will be collected in SGD as I am living in Singapore and studying in NTU. All donations will be converted to Myanmar currency when I get to go back to Myanmar during my semester break in December.

The photos shown above are taken using my film camera in december 2019, when i went back to visit.
