Campaign Story
Hi all,
My Name is Amy and I have been 'blessed' with having a lot of moles!... I have them on my back, my stomach, my head and on my face. For many years they have not bothered me and caused me no harm but over the last 10 years 2 of the 3 moles on my face have grown in size. I have one on my chin that has gotten rather large and now I can see it when I look down and If i have a side photo taken of me its obviously stands out.
I always saw them as part of me, they make me unique.... But now they are causing me discomfort, I catch them, they bleed, they itch and most worst of all they try to grow there own hair style (I pluck them out). I have visited the doctors on many occasions and I have been referred to the hospital but they refuse to remove them. Most doctors say because they are on my face they are "cosmetic" and even when I tell them the issues they cause and the way they have changed, it doesn't make a difference.
I have tried to get them removed by the doctors for a few years but with no luck, So i need to have them done privately, Which is rather costly. Asking for help or money is far from my comfort zone but if I want the removed this is my only option. The moles are a worry to me as I'm pale and I worry on the impact the sun has on them and they fact that they keep getting bigger.
This was all not helped by finding out my ex and all his friends referred to me as "the mole" Its does nothing for my confidence an I actually normally try to airbrush them out in images as they are so hideous.
I have attached images that's how how much they stick out, even in a normal selfie you can see how prominent the one on my chin is. I really hate them and a lot of family members including my mum and aunts have had there's removed on the nhs but
If anyone can help I would really appreciate it. My issue compared to many on here is small and I understand that, but its worth a shot!.
Thank you so much for reading this and have a good day! x
