Supposedly, our fundraising was about to end tonight, April 14, the first announced end of the Enhanced Community Quarantine here in Metro Manila. With the announcement of the extension, and still no vaccines or cures in sight, we decided to extend F.L.A.T.ten The Curve (Financial & Livelihood Assistance Team) till the end of the month!

Just a little update! Since we started this page last March 18, we have already gathered almost 400% of our initial target of Php 100,000. Thank you to fellow bloggers and people we have worked with who helped us spread our causes, and to our generous friends, families, and donors for helping us help our Kababayan who need us most right now.

We received a total of Php 388,600 (minus Go Get Funding page fees), with the following breakdown:

- Php 267,050 page donations (minus Go Get Funding page fees of .04%)

- Php 121,550 direct donations (bank transfers, deposit slips: https://gogetfunding.com/blog-single-update/?blogp...)

- 111 backers (from Go Get Funding page only)

All donations were distributed to families that are on no-work-no-pay. You can browse through our thorough updates on this page: http://bit.ly/teamkindnessph

How do we choose our beneficiaries?

We have a messenger group where we send screenshots of potential beneficiaries that we cross-check together to make sure they are legitimate. We see their stories on Facebook groups dedicated to drivers, daily wage earners, street vendors, etc. We also get tags and direct messages on our personal accounts, and suggestions from our own friends and families.

We transfer our monetary donations directly to our beneficiary (they usually use GCash or Smart Money), or if they don't have available bank accounts, we also had cases when the person who posted about the call for help will collect the money and directly send them to our beneficiary. We double-check this through photos and videos, screenshots of bank transfers, and video calls.

List of our beneficiaries as of April 14:

Moving Forward

The easier route is to end the fundraising today, our target date, as we also receive lesser to no donations at the moment (understandable, as we reach more than a month of lockdown). But our group decided to still push with our cause hoping that we can still reach more families. We have set a new target amount, and extended our page till the end of the month.

Thank you so much again for supporting our causes! Thank you for your generosity! Praying that the COVID-19 cure and vaccine will be discovered asap, but till then, let us try to serve more from our homes through this online fundraising project.

Take care and stay healthy!

Hang in there guys!

It's going to be tough, as we're expecting extension of the quarantine (which is for the best, so we can totally eradicate the virus before we can go back to "normal").

We hope to continue to push this fund raising so more families with no sources of income won't have to worry about their daily meals, and (like us) can also stay safe at home with their loved ones.

Praying for everyone's physical and mental health in these trying times!

Although we have reached our initial target, we are still receiving messages and get tagged in daily wage earners stories who still need our help. We have more Kababayans in need of financial support during this COVID Community Quarantine.

Let us aim to help more!
