Eye Treatment for Tom

My fiance is a strong willed and a hard working man. I dated him in high school and then reunited after years apart. Now we have been together going on 2 years. He worked construction for 20 years missing only 1 day, due to a severe cold. In the end he was laid off and never called back.  Currently, he's on disability and on Social Security due to being legally blind. If he could work, he'd take that over SSD any day.

I am writing because he needs to go see his doctor in St. Louis, MO. For the office visit ALONE, it costs 600 dollars. He needs to go on two different days to get injections in his eyes to try and slow down the macular degeneration. Since it's a 6 hour trip one way, we need a hotel room and money for gas and food.

We have bee trying on saving but with both of us on a fixed income, it's extremely hard. He would never think of asking for help, But I found this site thru a friend and am emploring for help, both in donations and prayers.
