Extending Manoy Baday’s Life

Good day! This is Ate Ilyn and Manoy Baday, They live in Lagonoy, Camarines Sur. They are a couple and are parents to 2 children, both are still in school.

Both are excelling in school as what Ate Ilyn would tell us. Manay Ilyn has been our family's Yaya since I was in High School. She is a handicap, but it never hindered her from working for us as a maid.

She is a very happy person. Our house was full of life and laughter because of her. She now works at a salon to pursue her "mani/pedi" career. But still checks up on us from time to time.

Manoy Baday, on the other hand, worked in their hometown in Lagonoy, Camarines Sur, Philippines and took care of their children at the same time. He was once a strong person, he is quiet and shy.

THIS WAS HIM LAST 2013..

He got sick last year. He suffered from an unknown illness last year, he lost a lot of weight, and his face became a little saggy, at first, we thought that it was nothing that serious.

After he has gone through some tests, and some hospitalizations, (Ate Ilyn took him to a public hospital which was 2-3 hours away from their house because he had seizures), He was diagnosed with Brain Metastases - cancer of the brain.

It means that the cancer cells have spread to the brain from primary tumors in the organs of the body. He suffers from seizures and is now speech impaired. He barely recognizes what's real and what's not. He is no longer as responsive as before, he is thinner, he fails to answer questions, he urinates in the wrong places, and is having slight confusions about his environment.

It is not curable - but there's still hope for us to prolong his life, or atleast make it worthwhile. His kids are still so young, and are still in school. They do not have the money to help him get the proper care that he needs. They do not even have the money to have him undergo biopsy - to atleast know the status of his Cancer. To atleast know how long he's still going to live.

I am asking for any amount, I want him to take the therapies/medications/tests that he needs - or atleast help his family to get back on their feet. I want them to have enough money to help Ate Ilyn spend time with Manoy Baday, so that she can take care of him without having to worry about the food on their table - which some of us are very lucky to have, I want to help her provide the time and the care for her husband atleast for now, that Manoy Baday is still conscious. The measure of life, after all, is not its duration.
