Mike Schulz Construction, LLC We are a small construction business located in the heartland of America. After more than 9 years of success in business, we hit a wall last year and things have not been so good. Our major construction project for 2013 was plagued by bad weather and material delays, which caused us to loose nearly $20,000 by the end of the year. On top of that, the furnace went out in our house so we had to install a new furnace and A/C unit for almost $10,000. We would really like to purchase a nice, used telehandler to grow our business. A telehandler would allow our guys to work quicker and much safer when setting rafters, shingling roofs, repairing chimneys, gutters, siding and facia on houses and other constructions projects that require lifting materials and personnel into the air. Currently our guys must carry the materials up a ladder or use a skidloader to lift them as high as possible and then wrestle them into place from there. It is an older model, but has been serviced regularly and taken good care of by the previous owner. Due to recent bad weather in our area, we have the potential to turn things around, but as they say "time is money" and a telehandler would help our company work on projects quicker. Already, we have had to turn almost a dozen jobs away because we do not have the personnel or equipment needed to complete that many projects before the winter sets in. We have considered taking out a conventional bank loan for the telehandler, but with last year's losses, we are concerned about getting ourselves too extended in debt. As a younger couple (30s), we are still making a mortgage payment, trying to save for retirement and struggling to maintain a middle class existence. You won't find any kind of a footprint presence for us on the internet. Since we live in a small, rural area of the country our business is through word of mouth, referrals and repeat customers. Having a facebook, twitter or other social media would not help us. We already have plenty of work, we just need the equipment power to get it done! We would appreciate any help anyone could give us towards our goal of purchasing the telehandler and growing our business. If you can't give, we understand, and kindly ask that you forward our campaign on to anyone you know who might be able to help us. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and we wish you well!
