Exotic Taste of Africa

“Years ago, when I travelled to…” There’s something intriguing and adventurous about a story that begins with these words. We all know the journey that’s about to unfold, will be an exciting tale that makes you want to try it out yourself too.

Exotic Taste of Africa, is such a journey. And like all good stories, it combines the best of life’s ingredients – humble beginnings, relentless endurance, eager dedication and phenomenal experiences, mixed in with a deep-rooted passion for good food, delightful discoveries and exciting taste explorations. It’s the sprouting, the growth – the challenges encountered and conquered along the way, the experiences and the people – that inspired the adventure of Exotic Taste of Africa.

Focusing primarily on homemade products, inspired by travels through Africa, we want to eventually extend the borders and broaden the horizons of our products, to not only be that of the mother continent, but also the rest of the world.

Currently we have a range of recipes - tried, tested and loved by many that we will use to start this venture off with. This includes: sauces, marinades, pesto’s, pastes, rubs, dressings, seasonings & spice mixes, mustards, stuffing mixes, antipasti, chutneys, relishes and stocks.

We already have a marketing plan in action (having worked in advertising and marketing for more than 15 years, this was relatively quick to set up and establish a strategy), but we would need assistance with start-up costs for employee wages, ingredients, packaging and distribution.

Exotic Taste of Africa, will be set-up as a South African establishment, only employ people from local communities, and put back into the community through education in food production methods, marketing, design, and farming. All ingredients will be organic, preservative free and sourced locally to further develop agriculture in the region.

The packaging will be honest & focused on caring for the environment with 100% recyclable materials.

Because this is a passion in progress, there is no specific date when production will commence. As soon as the funds are available, production will start and marketing plan put into action.
