Evie 6 week Childcare and Teaching program in Ghana

I am planning to volunteer in Ghana for 6 weeks over July and August through PMGY. For 3 weeks I will be teaching English (the official language of Ghana) to children from the ages of 4 to 16, as well as assisting and leading lessons on a range of other subjects including the arts and sports. For the next 3 weeks I will then volunteer at a children's home caring for babies from a few months to a few years old. Resources were already limited considering the scale of these organisations in relation to available staff, and after the effects of the pandemic volunteers are now greatly needed.

The cost of my flights is already covered by money I have saved up from working, therefore all donations will go toward allowing me to volunteer. This will cover training, vaccinations, accommodation, support and any other resources needed. All additional funds I raise will go toward the school and children's home directly!

I am extremely excited and privileged to be able to have this opportunity!

I will be fundraising in a range of different ways including baking, handmaking seasonal gifts, physical challenges, and reselling clothes etc.
