Every orphan matters

Hey everyone, my name is Iskandar. I have been running since the age of 9. Annually, I’ve always wanted to do something different as I turn a year older. I am turning 29 years old on the 12th of April 2021.

Currently, I am located in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia. On the 11th of April 2021, I will participate in an event called "Newcastle Herald Hill 2 Habour 10 km Run." You can check out the website link - https://newrun.com.au/home/.

My primary objective is to run and collect funds, specifically for orphans in Singapore. Besides, this campaign is also to raise awareness of the effect of abuse and neglect on children.

As the COVID-19 pandemic has spread to almost every nation globally, the less fortunate and most disadvantaged families are affected the hardest. As part of the community with a higher privilege, it is our duty to ensure that orphans' well-being and health are protected.

Additionally, 21 Children and Young Persons Homes provide residential care programmes for children and young persons in Singapore. You can check out the website link - https://www.msf.gov.sg/policies/Strong-and-Stable-...

Children and young persons admitted into these homes are those who are:

1. From dysfunctional families and in need of shelter;
2. Abused or neglected;
3. In need of care and protection;
4. Beyond parental control; and
5. In conflict with the Law.

This is where you, as donors, come in. With your support, I will reach our main objective to raise funds. In addition, I will choose one home by random at the end of the collection. I will be fully transparent about the amount collected and where it will be going. Be kind and share the love!
