US$3,945.00raised of $40,000.00 goal
August 3, 2022, baby Darius was born with a condition called Pierre
Robin Sequence. It meant that his lower jaw did not develop properly and
it caused his tongue to block his airway which resulted to difficulty
in breathing. He was breathing through a respirator for a couple of days
until an emergency Tracheotomy had to be performed because the very
thing that's keeping him alive is also killing him. The respirator was
no longer an option due to infection building his airway. While he could
go through the surgery, there was incredibly high chance that the
procedure that could save him could also kill him. Nevertheless, it was
performed successfully. However, baby Darius would need help not only
with the hospital bills but also due to another surgery that will be
needed as he grows up. His jaw would require surgery in order to allow
him to breathe normal and also allow him to have a better life. This
along with other conditions such as lack of ear holes, missing 1 nose
hole and missing right thumb are a plethora of challenges that he will
need to overcome. But with your help, Darius will have a better shot at
having a normal life.
