Hello Everyone,
My name is LALIT KUMAR. I am an affiliate member of indian mountaineering foundation (IMF), an apex body who manages and control all mountaineering activities in India. I am freelancing/volunteering to educate remote societies about social, economical, environmental and sustainable development. Especially to younger generation.
It was 1997 ( age 17years) when I went to my first trek to 'Sunderdunga Glacier' in uttarakhand, India, from my school (sainik school ghorakhal, nainital, uttarakhand,India) that changed my perception to look at things esp life (or more specifically material life) and nature, as it was my first time to interest with nature in that way. And the urge to explore it got into me but society pressure to study and build your career came along as soon as trek was over. The new sensation got buried in the sand of time.
During 2005 to 2009 when I was doing my Mphill and PhD from Jawahar Lal University (JNU), New Delhi, I went for my field work to many remote places in india. These trips changed my future course of life.
2010 onward I started to travel and explore India esp natural and remote areas. Till 2014 I travelled many cities, national parks , trekked almost all the major treks in himalayas. The quest to go deeper with nature brings me to the idea of climbing where you are in total isolation with nature.
I stared preparing myself to this new venture and so In 2014 i did my basic mountaineering course and in 2016 advance mountaineering course from Nehru Institute of mountaineering (NIM), a top mountaineering institute in India. During these 2 years I went to all the base camps of the major peaks in India and climbed one peak Mt. DKD2 ( 18740ft/5680m) in uttarakhand, India.
In 2017 I went for full circle of Everest base camp including all the passes and gokyo ri. Then for full Annapurna circuit and base camp. I also summited 4 peaks ( mt.stok kangri and Mt. Devachan in India and Mt. Island peak and kala patthar in Nepal).
In 2018 I did 'search & Rescue' course from NIM to equipp myself to handle any mishapping to me or my teammates. Same year I summited Mt. Nun ( 23409 ft/ 7135m) in July.
In July 2019 I summited Mt. Kun ( 23218ft/ 7077m) and in September I summited Mt. Trishul (23360ft/7120m).
Now I feel prepared to go to top of the world Mt. EVEREST( 29029ft / 8848m) along with Mt. Lhotse (27940ft / 8516m) .
So I am here on CROWDRISE asking for your help and assistance to find my budget as it is very expensive. I have done all my past travels and expedition from my funds but now short of funds.
The cost of going to Everest alone range from $35000 to $100000 but I'm getting a deal from the Nepalese company for $50000. The cost of Lhotse with Everest is $15000 , the cost of equipment is around $ 10000 and the cost of other expenses that includes travel, insurance, accommodation, emergency evacuation, etc etc goes around $15000.
It all totals to $80000.
I have with me $30000.
So need another $50000.
Thank you all for all your support
