This Campaign is my campaign for hope. The hope to succeed. The hope to follow my dreams and to accomplish amazing things.

I live in South Africa, and with the economy as bad as it is, it is already hard to make a living for yourself. It is already hard to accomplish great things. And while I find myself in a situation where I need help and funding, where people already look down on me because of how young I am, yet my heart still holds hope.

I have faced many challenges, I have faced many people telling me to give up, but step by step I still succeed, and my hope still lasts.

I am 19 years old, and I have a dream. I have a passion. And I need your help to follow that passion. To create, conquer, and succeed.

I’ve been refusing to give up on my dreams, I’ve always been this stubborn, with everything working against me. I am a 19 year old girl trying to accomplish good, difficult things in a place where people think that 19 year olds can’t do anything. Where they think that young people are fools destined to fail. And even amidst all of this, amidst the unbelief, doubt, and people who wish to tear me down, I still try, because I have come to prove their ideals and beliefs wrong. I have come to prove that a 19 year old can achieve greatness. That I can conquer, and rise above all the bad things that have been thrown my way. That I can and will succeed.

On 10 November 2018 I planned, organised, managed, and hosted 2 events. A market and a talent competition, all on my own. I received so much negativity from people believing that a 19 year old could never accomplish it, nevertheless all alone. And yes, I did prove them wrong. Both the events were successes, especially the talent competition to which talent scouts also came and gave some of the participants the chance to further their talent(s).

I have a passion for creating events, and making a good impact at the same time. My heart burns for it. And I am so excited about the things that one can do, there are so many possibilities. And so many ways that could benefit so many people.

My events took place in Moorreesburg, a town near Cape Town, South Africa. I saw the need for opportunities there, and I decided to jump and make something happen. I barely had any money, and I put every bit I had into it. I had no idea how to go about anything, and no idea what to do. But I took everything step by step, finding solutions one by one. Working hard for 3 months, thinking of the big things and the small things. Negotiating here and there. Building contacts, and figuring everything out, on my own. I did research, spoke to people, and did everything I could to build up as much knowledge as I could. It was a LOT of hard work, it was stressful, and scary. I was alone, with problems that needed solutions all around me. It was a confusing time, but I did it. I succeeded. I made it, while most thought I couldn’t.

My journey isn’t just for me. It’s to create awareness. It’s to let people know that young people aren’t just the future, we are part of the now too. We have so much to bring to the table, so much that we can already do and accomplish.

We are not fools destined to fail. We hold power, knowledge, and strength, too.

I have walked alone for so long, trying to make a good difference. I ask of you to please help me to walk further, so I can follow my dream, and pave a way for other dreamers as well. Help me prove that young people can conquer, create, and succeed.

Just some of the many goals that I want to accomplish in the future:

-I plan to scatter my events all over the Western Cape, bit by bit.

-I want to build my own team to help me plan, organise, and manage those events.

-When business picks up, and I have built enough revenue for it, I would like to rent a business premises for the planning, organising, etc, of events.

-After that I would like to rent a premises on which I can hold my events, or at least some of them. I would then move my base of operations to said premises as well (if possible).

-I am also looking to get an NPO/NGO involved, to help them further their visions and make a good difference in this world. I want my business to help good initiatives to succeed.

I wish to inspire other young people to also follow their dreams and to not be afraid to go for what they want, even if those around them don’t believe in them.

We are smart enough, we are strong enough, and we can accomplish many great things.

I am passionate and driven to succeed and make a difference. And if you choose to support me, you’ll be part of something amazing. Years from now when my events are all over the place, you’ll be able to look at everything and say, “I helped make that happen.”

I will continue learning, and building my knowledge. I will ask questions, I will face problems, and find solutions. I won’t stop. I know that there is still a lot that I don’t know, and so many things that I still have to learn to do, but my heart and mind is open, and I thirst for knowledge. I will keep trying and keep doing. And while people throw me with stones, I will use those same stones to build my empire.

Please email me at: [email protected] if you have any questions, or just want to say hi.
