Euroland – one euro family store

I am a student from Slovenia. I want to start a one euro store in my city - Ljubljana.

There are two main competitors KIK and T€DI both of which have many different prices and confused product selection and product placement in the store. In addition there are general discount stores and supermarkets over all of which we will have an advantage with a fixed price for all items. There is no store that sells items for only one euro in Ljubljana!

The store will be run as a family business with my mother who is an accountant and has 30+ years of accounting experience.

The money will be used to start a business, rent a store, buy equipment and buy stock. Most of the money will be invested in buying stock as we intend to run the business with low expenses.

Why I want to do this?

I have been suffering from depression for five years now and my mother has had financial difficulties for most of her life trying to support two children on her own. We have no other place to turn to.
