Ethical Coaching Portal

Thanks for viewing my campaign, my name is Manja Schmidt and along with helping my husband run a very small Independent Record Label from our home in Leipzig, I run a small but successful Reiki Practice, but my life vocation is Cartomancy, the skill of divination using a deck of cards.

After just over 20 years of card-reading I have established a loyal Client base of mainly business owners and professionals, I have a reputation for providing straight, honest, concise and accurate advice using my 120 year-old Nile Fortune cards, in fact as far as I know I am the only reader in Germany to use these cards.

I am not a psychic, medium, clairvoyant, seer, or channel, I do not accept that I have the power to predict the future and I cannot talk to loved ones on the 'other side.'  I interpret possible outcomes from life factors presented to me by my Clients based on the relationship of their shuffled then laid deck of cards, that's all.

I take my craft very seriously; conventional Science explains many things about us and our world, where we came from, what we and everything else are made of, even how it will all end. There is however a whole 'field of discovery' untouched by Scientists, invariably wholly dismissed because it's not so easy to prod, dissect, measure or quantify these subjects, and produce any meaningful testable results. Divination, specifically Cartomancy, is one of these challenging subjects, and one I have chosen to research, demonstrate and quantify, I do hope one day to publish a definitive testable theory, the hope of most Scientists. The journey is a fascinating one and along the way my Clients benefit now significantly, because like me they have come to know from experience of their own personal readings they really do have control of their lives and destinies, with a little insightful help from something we don't yet, or have to, fully understand.

Over recent years my industry has become a multi-million dollar frivolous 'entertainment' enterprise, controlled by powerful organisations using sideshow charlatans to exploit vulnerable people with problems and extract as much money as possible for themselves and their paymasters, tarnishing genuinely skilled readers in their wake.  This unfortunate and unhelpful state of affairs is why I've come here to ask for your help, even the sceptics amongst you because some good can be done with your money too; you don't have to believe in what I do.

All of these 'esoteric' portals operate in roughly the same way, they supply a call-diverting system so customer’s calls can be redirected to their chosen reader, and they pay by-the-minute once connected.  How much a reader then gets paid varies from portal to portal, but the biggest and most powerful take between 50-60% of what the customer pays.  I and other readers that have experienced these portals directly are also aware that there is widespread endemic manipulation of a readers ratings and reviews, a system in place no doubt to keep the big 'money-spinning' charlatans at the top of their listings thereby automatically relegating less-profitable ethical readers that give short concise advice way down the chart.

What these people do is profoundly demonstrated by Derren Brown's 'Psychic Readings revealed' video at the top of this page, this is not Cartomancy it's an old form of travelling circus trickery called 'cold-reading' and it bears absolutely no resemblance or relationship to what professional Cartomancers do, but people are fooled by performances like this every minute of every day on portals everywhere, and part with a lot of money by this deception.  A good 'rule of thumb' for anyone that goes for a reading; if the reader takes out a set of Tarot cards, walk away, Tarot cards are very rarely if ever used by professional card readers today.

What I would like to achieve with your help is to remove the profit based paradigm that is so clearly damaging this industry, by creating a new portal without this call-redirection, putting Clients directly in touch with genuine readers thereby halving the cost in an instant, and the whole organisation to be controlled with strict ethical guidelines overseen by a board of members the majority of which will be independent of and unassociated with the industry.  New readers would be subject to extensive examination before they could become members, and regularly checked to ensure they stick to rigid ethical guidelines and an agreed Code of Practice.

I've discussed what Developers call a wire-frame for the portal and I'm being quoted around 5000 euros, so I will try and raise $5000 here and whatever funds I don't raise I will put my own money in to make sure development gets to completion.  If I'm lucky enough to raise more than the development costs I will use any extra funds to secure the services of a direct-marketing company in order to contact as many card readers I can to make them fully aware of the project.

I would dearly love to get the portal up and running by Christmas, this coming season is always the busiest time for card readers, many people get very sad and ring portals just to have someone to talk to, it would be nice to think that we could be in a position to direct many of these people to organisations that are set up to provide real help for their situations, they don't need readings, but there will be plenty out there happy to take their money.
