Essential tools to grow my writing career

Ever since I was a little child I wanted to be a reporter. Circumstances meant this never happened. In my early 40's I was able to study journalism. A few years ago, we had a huge financial setback when a company we invested in went under. Long in the tooth and totally broke, we are fighting our way out of it now. I have used my freelance writing to build a portfolio of paid articles that I write via the NewsHub and Blasting News. I pick up some work from sites for freelancers on occasion.

The problem I am facing now is that my equipment is getting so old. My laptop is on its last legs My cell phone is anything but smart and my camera cannot take images with high enough resolution. My earnings are growing from my writing. This helps to supplement the small income my semi-retired husband earns. It is not yet enough of an income to buy the equipment I need to continue my writing career.
