Escape from Abuse

Last month my husband physically assaulted me in front of our 4 year old daughter. I finally had the guts to call the police after years of him doing this. He was arrested, but let out 24 hours later. A restraining order was put in place, which he promptly violated. Not being able to take any chances, I sold everything I possibly could, packed up what could fit in the car and took off. We ended up 2 states away where we don't know a soul.

We were able to use the money from what we sold to get a small studio apartment. I have been applying for every job out there, and hopefully I'll have something soon, but right now we only have rent for about another 2 months. Right now, my daughter sleeps in a bed that I got at a thrift store, and I'm on a couch. We have little else to our names and are terribly unprepared for the winter thats coming.

I have been doing some babysitting and baking to earn a bit of money, but a little extra to help get us ahead would be a God send. Any funds donated would be used as payment towards daycare (which is paid upfront) when I can start working, and to help us get back on our feet. Winter clothing for my daughter, maybe some toys for her since we left virtually all of them behind. She's been such a trooper thru all this. We spend a lot of the time at a local park with a duck pond so she's not cooped up and not able to socialize with other kids.

I don't have much to offer in the way of rewards, but I could always bake and ship it. Thank you for looking and God bless.
