Campaign Story
My nephew Eron has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on February 27th 2019. He is only 2 years and 3 months old during that time.
He had pneumonia and during one of the routine test, the doctors noticed that his wbc is high. Upon further testing, it was confirmed that he has AML.
It is a quickly progressing disease and we were told that the survival rate for AML is only 30%. We have 3 options for treatment:
1. Bone Marrow Transplant
2. Chemotherapy
3. Oral Chemotherapy
Bone marrow transplant is really expensive. We were told that it might be as much as 4 million pesos. We've chosen chemotherapy and we're still waiting for an available room so he can start the treatment immeadiately.
Unfortunately, Acute Myeloid Leukemia is not entirely covered by his father's medical insurance. Our family will need to gather enough funds and we need all the help that we could get as the treatment will be very expensive.
We'd like to start his chemotherapy as soon as possible. He`ll be treated at the Philippine Children's Medical Center.
We humbly ask for any donation for his medical bills.
