Ermie’s fight against COVID-19 & severe pneumonia

Ermie A. Bacanto is my husband, 44 years old, and is currently confined in a hospital in Manila due to COVID-19 infection resulting to severe pneumonia. Ermie has been experiencing difficulty breathing and is currently in the Telemetry unit of the hospital for close monitoring and isolation which cost ranges between 40,000 and 80,000 a day. In addition, my sister (Mecan) has also tested positive with the COVID19 virus with mild symptoms (fever and cough) and currently confined in a government quarantine facility. The rest of my family (my mom and 5-year old daughter) are home quarantine for 14 days.

As this is a particularly challenging and trying times for most of us, our family is unable to fully support their medical needs. Ermie's source of income used to be a small food business he had to stop operating due to the current pandemic while I just lost my job due to the company laying off resources in the Philippines. My sister on the other hand has no income since March 2020 when the pandemic started since her work involves events production which is not allowed during these times. Having said that, we have decided to start off this GoGetFunding campaign in the hopes of more people can extend financial help to our family while we also ask you to include our family’s full recovery in your prayers.
