Help to rebuild the fallen roof!

In the early morning of 3 April 2022 unexpected snow hit this house in Cserháthaláp village at the north of Hungary. The already old and weak roof has broken down under the burden of one and half tons of wet show rendering the home of the poor family of four people uninhabitable. The News of the national TV channel ATV has also reported about the situation at the same day. The catastrophe was worsened by the fact that the house had no insurance, so it became hopeless for this poor family to ever make it inhabitable again on their own.

The relatives and the local Mayor helped them to find a temporary place to live and give them some durable food to survive the coming days. They are also trying to help on rebuilding the roof and renovating the house, but such an amount of money needed for the reconstruction is over the possibilities the local government of such a small village has.

As the house belongs to a family, who were helping selflessly with their hard work when we were building our own family house, as well as for my brother, I decided to start this donation campaign because I thought that the amount of help I can give them is not enough, but many good, helpful people united can resolve their problem.

The funds raised will be spent on rebuilding the roof and renovating the house, so the family can get back the home they lost due to this catastrophe.

You can choose any amount above 5 Euro. It is up to you if you want to offer the price of a coffee, a box of cigarette, a cinema ticket or give a more generous amount you can afford to this family.

As the family and volunteers are already removing the debris of the broken roof, the materials for the new roof have to be bought as soon as possible, so the carpenter and volunteers can go ahead rebuilding the roof.
