Epiphyte plant educational trail at Chocó Nature Project (El Jardín De Los Sueños)

We are aiming to raise funds that will allow us to create an educational trail for visitors to this project, El Jardín De Los Sueños. An important feature of the conservation project is that it is part of the Ecuadorian Chocó region, considered as an international priority for the conservation of biodiversity along the Pacific coast, but of which only 2% remains its original cover. Each area of protected forest, such as the current project, is considered as a reservoir of unique and critically endangered biodiversity. The educational trail we are aiming to create will be based around epiphyte plants that grow in this area. The money raised will go towards the printing of informative posters that will be placed on various points of the trail, on the materials required to build stairs and a small bridge to ensure the trail is easily accessible, and also on the creation of 'green walls' of different types of epiphyte plants. We have started by creating a basic path that we wish the trail to follow, but we need further financing if we are to create an easy to walk, educational trail. Any support offered to us will mean a great deal and will further the work of this project, allowing us to continue to protect this endangered area of natural beauty.
