I have battled epilepsy all of my life. Having a seizure in public can be a little embarrassing and the ambulance bills definitely add up. That's aside from the concussions that take years to fully heal. So finally, in 2010 I made the decision to have brain surgery in Vancouver. Strange thing is it was actually randomly suggested to me by a life guard who also had the procedure done. I honestly didn't know how he knew or had the slightest hint that I had the condition, perhaps it was my medical alert bracelet? But he just randomly brought up the topic after I asked him for directions to a beach. Anyways, I had the procedure done after graduating from Sheridan college, achieving a Crafts and Design diploma. After the surgery I had slight vision loss with my upper right peripheral vision and after a year my seizures came back. On a good note, the seizures are different now and less intense. When one is having a seizure it's like a malfunction in the brain and you get electricuted by your body's electricity. Since the surgery there has been a difference in the muscle pain after the seizures, which is good and less painful. But it still is risky living in a big city and having the possibility of having seizures in public. So far I've never gotten mugged but they still happen
I have been working on my Bachelor of Design degree for the past four years and I will be graduating in April 2017. I am very excited to have this page turn in my life. However, I will be in a lot of school debt when I graduate and I'm afraid I may have more seizures due to the financial stress. I would like to start a fund to help me pay off my tuition fees and would be happy to provide contributors with any of the following services: Graphic design, illustration, webpage design, photography, motion graphics or mural paintings. Also if you would like to help me out, I would be happy to give you a print of my work which you can see at this site:https://www.behance.net/IanMilligan Thank you for reading this. I know there are good people out there, just gotta find them
