Yellow is an experimental science fiction film that shows the discovery of new objects and concepts through the eyes of a female protagonist. She is placed in an abstract environment without any memory of human nature. She therefore discovers herself throughout the film as new objects are introduced into the room according to the pace of a constantly ticking of a clock. She finds that she seeks comfort over stimulation.
Yellow is a film about cognition. How we identify ourselves within the real world. And how we can re-establish ourselves in the real after being stripped from our basic human cognition. Who am I? What do a look like? Am I a part of this world or is this world a part of me?
Yellow has been our dream child for a very long time. It's one of those films that run in the back of your head until you set it free. It's the film we have been waiting all year to make. We chose Yellow for our final short film to conclude our Bachelor of Film Arts at the Open Window Institute.
The film has grown throughout our preproduction proses to something bigger than we could ever imagine. It can be a truely beautiful film, but to achieve it, we need your help.
