Enulu Fast Food
Enulu is a local dialect word meaning sweet. The name explains the value proposition of the company and curves out a niche that is ignored by competitors. Fast food joints in the local area provide foods that have a flat taste with little consideration for their health. As such, Enulu is targeting the lower middle class who for a long time are served food with a flat taste as they most of them cannot afford the buy from the big brands operating in the country. In addition, the food is located within residential areas to make it accessible from home. This presents a large potential for growth.
The reason I have decided to hold a fundraiser is because I cannot raise the funds on my own because of a few disadvantaging circumstances. I am a university graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying but unlucky enough to land a job. Numerous opportunities exist but I am able to take them because I do not have a license that allows me to operate as a professional. To get the license, I am required to work as an intern under a licensed quantity surveyor for at least two years before seating for an exam. During the internship, one is assessed continually and is expected to attend at least three conferences set up by the examining body. The conferences are paid for, $300 each. While I was able to acquire the degree because of a scholarship program by the local government, I am unable to take the internship as the pay is too low to sustain me and my siblings who depend on me.
My sister joined the university where she takes a teaching course, but she is going through a rough time, and her tuition fee is almost unmanageable. My youngest brother will be joining university in about one year. As such, things are going to get tougher.
Since I have figured out how to manage a fast joint, having worked in one since my graduation three years ago, I believe the business will enable me cater to their needs and that of our mother, who is ill. I have already purchased some of the equipment I need, but there is still more that I need to do. My budget is $7000 which should help me start and run the business for two months before it stabilizes and starts to generate enough income. I am based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Any assistance will go a long way to make this dream a reality. You can also donate equipment; reach me to find out which equipment I need in case you decide to donate one.
