Hello, my name is Rytis and I am 18 years old powerlifting enthusiast from Vilnius, Lithuania.
First of all, I'd like to thank you all who devoted time or even money to make my wishes come true.
Secondly, I would like to share my story how powerlifting became my passion and why did I decided to take part in Lithuania's classic powerlifting cup in February 24-26th, 2018. The main reason why I stepped in the gym for the first time was obvious – I needed to lose a fair amount of weight. I immediately fell in love with weights and after 2 years of lifting (in 2016) I not only lost about 15kg (33 lbs), but I gained much needed patience and confidence. So the next year I thought to participate in my first powerlifting competition, but I never took real actions to reach this goal until I got really injured in July. Because of torn shoulder, I needed to forget gym for 3 months. But I did not give up and got even smarter: I read tons of articles about programming and nutrition; I fixed my sleeping schedule in order to recover faster. So, in September I came back not as strong as earlier, but now I am way more ambitious and serious towards my goals.
Questions you may ask:
What will be purchased?
- SBD knee sleeves 80€
- SBD wrist wraps 37€
- SBD singlet 70€
- SBD t-shirt 20€
- SBD belt 189€
Total: 400€ (480$)
Why do you need all that gear?
The most obvious reason is that I will not be allowed to participate in competitions. The next reason is that this gear not only will increase my performance, but it will significantly reduce risk of injury and will keep my joints healthy.
Why you chose SBD? Isn't that expensive?
Yes, it will not be the cheapest option to go with, but it is not possible to get other companies products like Inzer or Titan in Lithuania without paying absurd amount of money for shipping (often times retailers do not ship to Lithuania at all). Also, I did my research and I found out that SBD will suit my lifelong needs the best.
