Campaign Story
Hello! My name is Amy Barn, I am 17 years old and I plan to go to Bali from the 1st to 29th July 2019, where I will be volunteering in a small school, teaching English to children, aged 3-14 years old. I will be going with a company called Plan My Gap Year and staying in a town called Tabanan with some other people of a similar age, who I will meet there. During the days, I will be teaching basic English to and looking after classes, which will vary in age throughout the four weeks I'm there. I have my weekends free to explore Bali and close-by islands, such as Gili, which I have planned a weekend trip to. I plan to visit the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, the Tirta Empul temple complex, intricately carved Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) and GunungKawi with its rock-cut shrines, as well as embracing the local foods and culture.
Although I have a part-time job (outside of school), funding this trip has proven to be quite difficult, especially because my Dad is unemployed, and my Mum only works part-time. I really don't want this to stop me from going to Bali because I think it will be an amazing experience and I hope I can make a difference whilst I'm out there. Any donation would be massively appreciated and if you'd like to keep up to date with, see images and follow my travels, you're welcome to follow my instagram page, where I will be posting and blogging throughout!!
Thank you, even if you've just read my campaign!
Amy:)
