English for everyone, SHEP Foundation

This project is one of the biggest and most ambitious, which is going to teach English to the unprivileged community of Santa Helena del Opón, Santander, Colombia. This community has suffered from violence during the last few years, nowadays the bad times are gone and it's time to get up and keep going, that's why now the SHEP FOUNDATION has been created to support this community with more and better opportunities for everyone through teaching English as a second language.

The population of the beautiful town is 5.000 people approx it is known as "the Santander's heart", the access by roads is very difficult which it makes more difficult to get a good and qualified education.

SHEP FOUNDATION wants to innovate in such a small town being the first community in Colombia with the major percentage of bilingual people according to the population of the community and demonstrate to themselves and to the world that also in one of smallest countryside victims from violence there is HOPE.
