English exams for university admittance

Hello! My name is Alex and for the past two years my goal has been to study at an university in the U.K. English has always been one of my strengths as ever since 4th grade I have shown great interest in learning it. Now, as a high school student, I have had the opportunity to prove my abilities in the national olympiad, ranking among the top 5 students in the country every year. However, these results are not recognized internationally, hence I am required to take the IELTS exam. I have been preparing for it for the past months and I am confident I would obtain a high mark, if only my parents were able to pay for it. It is a fairly costly exam, one my parents are not able to pay without making a loan. This, along with the other expenses linked to studying abroad, are bound to crush my parents' financial status. For this reason, I decided to try my luck on a fund raising website, with the hopes of receiving even the littlest amount of money. I am sure every sum will only be beneficial. ;)
