I'm Israel, 19 years old with a dream of finishing a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Ever since I was little I really enjoyed stirring up different kinds of stuff. I even customize my own toys when I was on 8th grade. I fix them on my own sometimes and my grandma was really fascinated. I am really curious on how machine works, how is it possible for a remote controlled car to move when I'm pressing the button on the remote, how do powerplants work and all of those stuff. Now, i am more interested in designing machines. I really enjoyed our cad subjects and I'm definitely taking that route on this field.

In my free time, I'm taking up acting classes in our university theater. I'm a part of our university's repertory and have been in several plays. I also enjoy playing and making music. I sing and play musical instruments like the piano, ukelele, electric and bass guitar. I also volunteer to give acting workshops to high school students sometimes and share what I learned in the theater acting classes that I've taken.

I also write poems and a part of a local group of spoken word poetry artists in our city. The group is PapersoulPH. Our goal is to share different ideas, thoughts and opinions about our society, politics, racism, sexism, religion and etc. through poetry. We also want to let the younger generation know that poetry can also be about many different subjects aside from love.

My goals after graduating is to share everything that I learned by designing or "inventing" a machine that could help our society especially to the ones who are really in need. I'm a big fan of Nikola Tesla, Willis Carrier and Bill Nye. I wanna be like them someday. I want to contribute something in the world. I want to invent and I want to share it for the common good.

I'm currently on my 3rd year and after next semester I will be in my 4th year but unfortunately my parents can't afford to make another loan for my tuition because their previous loans piled up. They also both have their new families that become their top priority. I tried looking for a part time job and I did found one, but it's not enough to pay for my tuition fee this semester and it's taking up all of my time and my studies are getting affected.

$900 will go on my tuition fee this semester and the remaining $100 will go on my entrance fee for the coming semester this november. Yes, college tuition fee is less expensive here in the Philippines compared to other countries.

I really appreciate all of your help. This is such a blessing to me. I promise to return this act of kindness to everyone in the future who will also need support and help financially. I believe an act of kindness can make a ripple effect in the future. I hope I could inspire other people to pursue their dreams and never let anything stop them. Thank you so much. Godbless!
