End Stage Renal Disease – Help save Mona’s life

Hi, my name is Bruno Camacho and I started this fundraising campaign for Mona, a girl who before being my girlfriend, also is a very special and dear friend of mine. She's on a very hard situation because her End Stage Renal Disease. Please help me help her, she's only 28 years old, and I don't want to lose her. Below is her own text asking for help.

My name is Mona Liza C. Acompañado, 28 Y. O, march 4 2014 I was rush in the hospital and diagnose END STAGE RENAL DISEASE SECONDARY TO CHRONIC GLOMERULONEPHRITIS, HYPERTENSION STAGE 2. I'm was almost dying at that time because I always refused to have dialysis, then time come and my face, legs, feet were swelling, I couldn’t breathe, my lungs were congested by water and I couldn’t sleep anymore. I felt I was loosing my mind, I wasn’t able to sit or stand or walk by my own. I was always vomiting because my stomach didn't take the food and even water. When my mom rush me at the hospital was almost too late, the doctor said I have only few days to live. I was so scared, I don’t want to die... I started taking the dialysis, and I’m on this for almost four years now.

I don’t have enough money to pay for all dialysis sessions, and if I lose only one I might die before the next session. Each session cost 3000 pesos, the dialyzer, which I need to change every 6 sessions, is 1900 pesos, and the injection I need to take twice a week cost 750 pesos. I have two sessions per week, so I need around 32000 pesos (around US$640.00) only for my monthly dialysis.

I also want to have a transplant, so I can have an almost normal life again. I can’t work because my illness, and I still have a dream to graduate, get married, have kids... I’m to young to die like this. But the transplant cost is 300,000 pesos, almost US$6000.00.

Please, help me keep my treatment and help me to raise the money for my transplant.
