End-stage Kidney Failure Patient, Gary, Needs Your Help!

Meet Gary, he's coming 30 this October. Supposedly this should be the time of his life, getting his career up and entering a new stage in life. But on the 8th of April 2021, he informed his friends via Facebook that he was diagnosed with End-Stage Kidney Failure. What this means is in order to survive, he needs a donor. Someone who is kind enough to donate a kidney to him.

According to Live On Singapore, there are about 400 patients on the waiting list, and an average wait of 9 years before he gets his chance. My understanding is he has somewhat prepared himself for the worst. But as a friend, I am hoping for the best for him. So his only other option is to go through dialysis, which is definitely not the cheapest solution here in Singapore.

Apart from his own conditions, he has a mother who's also diagnosed with cancer, and a father with hypertension. From my understanding, they are not financially ready to take on the cost of kidney dialysis. On average, a dialysis machine rental is about $2,500 and above for a month. Adding this cost to what's already on their shoulder, it is going to be tough for them. However tired and prepared for the worst, he still feels the need to work hard to help with his family's medical costs.

With his permission, I have set up this funding page. I don't know exactly what amount will be sufficient, but all I know is that he wants to be able to live longer, even if it is just a day more.

Please help my friend, Gary, out. Any amount is fine. Should the worst happens, this funding will be given to his parents to help them pay off whatever medical costs that they may incur in future too.
