Adolescence is a crucial stage stage in life and one that is more challenging to most girls because of physical and physiological changes, one of the physiological changes in adolescent girls is menstruation. Today in Kenya menstruation is not only a health concern but also an educational policy concern, most teenage girls are not able to afford period products ,using other means these girls are left uncomfortable and often unhealthy during their menstrual period. This leads to most of them missing school for a few days each month as they are too uncomfortable or embarrassed to attend.

As a community organization we acknowledge that this is a great need and one that needs intervention. teenage girls should be healthy and comfortable during their menstrual period and are not forced to miss school. In regards to this situation therefore we the BEETLY 254 initiated this campaign of period products support to adolescent girls in rural informal schools, urban slums, orphanages and child care homes in Kenya. The aim of this campaign is to improve their menstrual hygiene and health as well as to reduce their discomfort during school days, this will in turn improve their attendance to school and performance as well.
