My name is Anas Younes, and I'm a Syrian student trying to achieve my dream of studying abroad. I have been working hard to support my family and further my education, but now I need your help to pursue my passion for cultural policy.

As you may know, Syria has been facing a severe humanitarian crisis for many years, and the cultural sector has been deeply affected. The war has led to the destruction of cultural heritage sites, the displacement of artists and cultural workers, and the loss of cultural identity. It has become increasingly difficult to maintain cultural practices and traditions, which are an essential part of the Syrian people's identity and history.

That's why I believe that studying cultural policy is crucial in the Syrian context, I have been accepted to the University of Groningen's MA program in cultural policy, which is an opportunity that would be life-changing for me. This major is not available in the Arab region, and I would be one of the few Syrians to study it. With your support, I can gain the skills and knowledge I need to make a meaningful impact in my community and beyond.

I'm a theatre practitioner and cultural activist with a passion for cultural and artistic management. I have directed several applied performances in alternative cultural spaces, and I've worked with numerous cultural organizations and entities. I hold a BA in drama and literature from AUL University and an MA in theatre studies from USJ, where I specialized in cultural production.

Studying at the University of Groningen will not only help me develop my skills and knowledge but will also allow me to meet people from different backgrounds and cultures, which is something I'm very excited about. I believe that diversity and multiculturalism are essential in shaping our understanding of the world, and I want to contribute to this cause.

However, the cost of studying abroad is high, and I cannot afford it on my own. That's why I'm reaching out to you, hoping that you will help me make my dream a reality. Any amount, big or small, will be greatly appreciated and will go towards covering my tuition fees, living expenses, and travel costs.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story, and I hope you'll consider supporting me. With your help, I can become a cultural policy expert and contribute to rebuilding and preserving Syria's cultural system and identity.
