Introduction: The ongoing electricity challenges in Gaza have significantly impacted the quality of life for its residents. Erratic power supply, frequent blackouts, and energy shortages have led to daily inconveniences and hindered economic development. To address this issue, we propose the "Empowering Gaza Homes with Solar Energy" project, which aims to provide sustainable and reliable household electricity to 3 residences in Gaza through the installation of 3 kW solar power systems in each home.

Electricity Challenges in Gaza: The Gaza Strip has been grappling with chronic electricity shortages for years, stemming from various factors such as fuel scarcity, limited infrastructure, and political constraints. Residents face prolonged power outages that disrupt daily activities, jeopardize healthcare services, impede education, and hinder economic growth. The unreliable grid electricity negatively impacts the overall well-being and progress of the Gaza community

Project Objectives:

1. Mitigate Energy Shortages: Alleviate the burden of power shortages on 5 households by providing them with a consistent and independent source of electricity through solar power systems.
2. Enhance Livelihoods: Improve the living conditions of residents by ensuring access to reliable electricity, which is crucial for economic activities, education, and overall well-being.
3. Promote Sustainability: Encourage the use of renewable energy sources to reduce dependency on fossil fuels and decrease greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment.
4. Empower Communities: Raise awareness about the benefits of solar energy and educate local communities on sustainable energy practices, thereby fostering a culture of energy conservation.

The estimated budget for the project is $17,800 covering equipment, installation, training, community engagement, and project management. The project is expected to span 12 months, with installation and training taking place in the initial 6 months and awareness activities continuing throughout the year.
