Ever wonder why crime is rising in our comminities?

Answer is simple - Unemployed Youth!

Who am I?

My name is Lucky Segopa, I'm 33yrs old, a husband, father and

a self-employed Graphic Desinger & Film Editor.

I hail from Bloemfontein in South Africa & I plan to 'Pass it forward'

to 100 kids by the year 2020.

What is it I wish to pass forward?

My creative skills & philosophy on self-empowerment.

How?

I intend to offer multiple skills to under25yr old High school graduates who never

had the chance to further their education & are currently unemployed.

I have a 6 x 9m garage at my house that I'm converting to a learning facility.

With this facility I plan to teach & offer the following:

- Free online course of any kind via reputable online institution

- IT skills (End User Computing)

- Adobe Photoshop & Freehand (Graphic Design)

- Lightworks Film Editor (Film Making)

- Basics of Investing & trading the financial markets

The facility will be operational from Moday to Friday (8am - 6pm) and on Saturdays (9am - 1pm)

The Purpose!

Graduates who know what they want to study but can not due to financial reasons

are able to study free with the below institutions:

www.shawacademy.com/Free/Course‎

alison.com/free-online-courses/south-africa

moocs.org.za

www.oxfordhomestudy.com/free-online-courses-with-c...

https://www.open2study.com/courses

For those who are into more creative & practical things will be tutored by myself

on the above mentioned softwares.

Because these graduates are poor & have no access to things such as computers & internet,

it's impossible for them to further their dreams in their choice of career.

The learning facility will give access to these facilities for the purpose of teaching & empowering.

Two (2) Classes will be given per day.

8am - 12pm will be for the creative team of 8 (Given by myself)

2pm - 6pm will be for the online free courses (self taught will I facilitate)

Why?

In South Africa training & education is expensive and for a non-qualified persons to be employed, is practically impossible.

it's important that they have the right skills for the job.Never mind the expensive

tuition fees in all the varsities, even self teaching is costly. Basic internet access can cost

as little as $8+-. Which is enough to feed a family of 4 for 2 days. So for a poor person,

the obvious choice is to not spend on such things as internet.

Local Government doesn't have facilities that teaches individuals technology skills and

tap into the potential that the youth has. The young people are intrigued by technology

and love it, why not empower them while they are having fun.

What is needed

Eight (8) high-end performance desktop computers and a broadband uncapped internet connection for a year in advance.

One (1) Multi function Laserjet printer

Four (4) entry level DLSR cameras

I thank you in advance & may God's blessing follow you always.
