Quick summary for Emmy:
Complete Blood test - check due to loss of appetite
Fiv/Felv test - check due to foster and adoption purposes
X-ray - checked due to abnormal rapid breathing
Fortunately she is FIV/FELV negative. Her rapid breathing does not have a conclusion but we have checked her lungs with Xray and her lungs look healthy.
Her blood tests indicates that either or both of her liver or/and gall bladder has a potential problem. For now no treatment is given as a wrong diagnosis can worsen her condition. Hence an ultrasound has been booked tentatively on monday to get a better diagnosis and provide her with a proper treatment.
Tests yet to be done:
Ultrasound - check liver and gall bladder to confirm treatment.
What is being done now:
We are blessed to have Lisa's mum "hospitalise" emmy for the weekend. A supply of water is to be readily available. The more she drinks the better as she showed slight dehydration and flushing out bad things is always a good step to recovery.
Depending on the outcome, she might be fostered/ up for adoption if she requires frequent medication or if the vet recommends her to be in a safe monitored environment. If she just needs treatment for a period of time and condition not dire she will be back in Engin.
Cost (after ultrasound is added) : $600+
Excess funds will be donated to NUS CatCafe.
