This year for Christmas I would love it if instead of a physical present, you could help make my freediving dreams a reality!
Earlier in the year I KonMari'd my house (also known as decluttering). I know it might not look like I have to people who have seen my house, but there is much less stuff in there than there used to be! While decluttering I really started to feel slightly overwhelmed by 'stuff'.
In the last couple of years I have got extremely into freediving, and I would love to have more freediving experiences, but at the moment have a pretty limited budget for this.
You may or may not know that in 2010 I hurt my back at work and at one point couldn't even sit in a stationary car without having a panic attack because of back pain. About 2 years ago I made a conscious decision to fall back in love with a body that I kind of hated because I associated it with being in pain, or being fearful of pain, and I decided to try and find ways to enjoy moving again. This route lead me to freediving and to me it has been pretty lifechanging in terms of confidence in what I can do.
If you can make a small contribution to my freediving fund instead of a physical Christmas present, it would mean SO much to me! :D
Money will go straight into a savings account for freediving trips, training and equipment to enable improvement (eg a freediving wetsuit, monofin bag or glide monofin - okay more 'stuff', but not much! :) )
