Hi, I’m Emily Herzlin, and I’m raising money to attend the 9-Day Intensive Summer Practicum in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with the Center for Mindfulness. It’s been a dream of mine to attend this incredible teacher training program, and this year I was finally accepted.
This program will train me to teach the 8-week MBSR curriculum to groups and individuals. This is a prestigious program that leads to certification, which will allow me to widen my teaching opportunities to include schools, hospitals, community centers, and more. It will also help to deepen my own personal mindfulness practice.

The cost of the program (half in Rhinebeck, NY, half in Norwood, MA) is expensive, but I think the benefits are well worth it. Tuition is $1800, and between travel and room and board, the total cost for the 9 days will be around $3200.
I’m aiming to raise half of that: $1600.
My teaching of mindfulness has, so far, been either volunteer or by donation. Your generosity will help me to continue to teach mindfulness, and will support my becoming BETTER at it.
4/12/13 UPDATE: No matter how much I end up raising, 5% of the funds raised will go to the Interdependence Project, the nonprofit organization and mediation center where I first received formal meditation instruction and continue to study.
As a thank you, everyone who donates will receive a free session of mindfulness meditation instruction, either in person in NYC or via Skype.
Thank you all for any support you are able and willing to give.
