My daughter is born with congenital defect due to my lack of folic acid. Barely a month old, she had undergone a surgery to put a shunt on her due to hydrocephalus and a repair on her back due to lumbo-sacral myelomeningocele in Philippine Children's Medical Hospital, under the supervision of a kind doctor, Dr. Jose Robles. Due to her condition, her lower extremities has no sense of touch, she cannot walk, no urinary bladder control with pelvocaliectasia, and for that she should have regular intermittent catheter to avoid another kidney problem. She is currently home schooling since she cannot walk. We are four siblings and my mother is a single working mom. Doctors called her syndrome arnold chiarri II. Due to lack of money, we were not able to have her regular check up, and the therapy which she needed to strengthen her arms and so as her posture that deteriorates as she grows up. She is now 13 years old. We appeal to you for her regular therapy , MRI, and the needed spinal brace for her body support as well as her education.
