Hi, my name is Vera and I am Emiel James' mother. May of last year, what we thought was a bad case of allergies that started as puffy eyes and then turned into a bad case of edema, was diagnosed by his doctors as Nephrotic Kidney Syndrome. He was 3 years old at that time, he's now 4 years old. After more than a year of medication, his kidneys are still not okay and are not responding well to his current meds. This is why the doctor advised us that he needs to undergo Biopsy before introducing another kind of medication. This is needed to know the current state/condition of his kidneys. The procedure alone can cost around 50,000 pesos (that's the lowest estimated fee). Since we are referred to the Philippine General Hospital, our expectations were set that we would need to shoulder some medical expenses (medicine, medical supplies, etc.) and we need to prepare more than 50,000 pesos. Our family is not well off (we have 4 kids, Emiel is our youngest) and honestly speaking, we don't have the financial capacity nor resources to fund the hospital bills and expenses. Both me and my husband are working but our earnings would not be enough to cover everything. This is the reason why we had set up this gogetfunding account so that we may be able to seek help for our son. We thank you in advance for your generosity and for your heart to help. May God reward you greatly and may He surround you with His favor as you extend your hand to help us in our time of need. Thank you once again and God bless you.
