Campaign Story
I am Christine, the volunteer co-Director of ASKD Foundation.
I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of Joshua, a one year old baby boy warrior.
Joshua was born in September 2020 during a pandemic and in an outdoor community toilet and abandoned immediately. This wee baby had no shelter, no human touch or love for him upon his arrival into this world, laying in mud and human feces.
No one would or could take him in because of their own poverty and starvation of their own children. Upon finding out about Joshua's birth, Kabunga Umar (Founder/Director) of African Street Kids Dreams Foundation immediately took him into the ASKD Orphanage.
He became the 18th child in the Orphanage.
Currently, Joshua has a very large painful Inguinal Hernia. Joshua was examined and diagnosed by a doctor at the Hospital and requires surgery on this herniaKabunga really needs help with the cost of Joshua's Hernia repair surgery. He is hoping to raise money as soon as possible to relieve the pain that Joshua is in and to prevent any further complications from this large Inguinal hernia.
The surgery will cost $ 1,400,000 Uganda shillings
Conversions (500 Canadian, $400US, $300 British Pounds)
