Emergency Dental Surgery Needed for Rescued ESA Dog

My dog is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

When I rescued her 6 months ago, she profoundly changed my quality of life. I am a college student and have suffered from a generalized anxiety disorder and depression for the larger part of my adult life. I have tried all sorts of therapies, both professional and homeopathic, self help measures and relaxation techniques, and was on the antidepressant medication Zoloft, but these treatments all made minimal differences in my life. I would still suffer from painful panic attacks at night, several times a week, that would leave me exhausted the next day when I would have to attend classes full time and try my hardest to remain my externally smiling, personable self.

Being an animal lover and at my whit's end, I decided to rescue a dog to be my "emotional therapy/support animal" after reading about the profoundly positive effects they can have on people suffering from mental illnesses. Sure enough, after having her for only 1 month, I was able to slowly wean myself off of my antidepressants with my doctor's approval, and have not had a panic attack since. She brings so much joy and unconditional love to my life, and has done so much for me.

Now there is something I need to do for her, and I need some help to do it. Being hit with an onslaught of recent unexpected expenses (major car problems, a large cutback on my student loan qualifications for this year, lack of healthcare coverage on a large medical procedure and the related testing) I was shocked to find out this week that my wonderful companion will need a major dental surgery, and soon.

When I adopted her, she had several teeth in the front of her mouth that were broken off from a previous injury (the vet says she may have been kicked in the mouth) but that the teeth looked fine, weren't painful, and didn't inhibit her ability to eat normally or her quality of life. Recently though, these tooth stubs have further broken down to almost nothing, and several of them have become open nerve endings, which could cause her a lot of pain, become infected, or abcess at any time.

I need to have these teeth extracted as soon as possible for her health and comfort, as they are getting worse with each passing day. While I will charge the surgery to my credit card to make sure she is taken care of in a heartbeart, I need to have a way to pay it back. I'm not a financially irresponsible person and I work hard year round to make expenses meet, but I have been hit hard by a slew of unexpected events that have depleted my emergency savings and I'm reaching out for help from the generosity of others during my time of need. Please help me give my dog what she needs so I can make sure she is happy and healthy, as she has been keeping me happy and healthy and I really owe this to her. This dog is my entire world. When I adopted her, I promised it would be forever and I intend to keep that promise. Please help me keep it. I am more than willing to stay in touch with donors and provide updates, pictures, receipts from the surgery, etc.! This situation is very real and breaking my heart.
