Bentley is a beautiful 3 year old miniature dachsund. He is in dyer need of any help he can get. He is one of the healthiest dogs you could meet. But one day he just changed and changed for the worse. He couldnt walk.. lay down or barely even eat or drink without crying in pain.. we thought he stunned his leg but the next day it was like he was completely paralyzed in the back end.. Bentley ended up having a bursted disc which is very serious and requires either 8wks of crate rest of emergency surgery. Which will be around $5000. But no one has that kind of money just sitting around. We were going to try crate rest but not even 24 hours into it Bentley was getting worse.. we finally found a family member to get approved for care credit but the member only got approved for $5000. But that's okay. That was enough to get Bentley to Cornell university. We called Cornell and told them we were ready and we were on our way but ofcourse something came up and they just couldn't do it. There equipment wasn't working.. after calling around to different veterinary hospitals 2 hours later we found that agreed to take care of Bentley and bring him in with open arms. Colonial Veterinary Hospital has been so nice and kind to us and took him in and did everything as quickly and efficiently as they could. We took him in around 1pm Friday afternoon and they called around 6pm saying they couldn't do the surgery until 7pm because they spent all that time getting the swelling down.. around 9pm we got the call that Bentley was out of surgery and he did great but there was a bump in the road during surgery.. He ended up having a severe blood clot as well as the disc being ruptured which was causing him so much paid and making him worse.. it is now Monday July 17th and Bentley is still in the veterinary hospital.. He is showing no signs of walking at this time but they still have hope for him.. as of right now his bill is up to $5,756 and we only have $5,250 available. Anything helps. Even if it is $1.. thank you for all of your continued prayers and support.
