Easter Sunday is a celebratory occasion for Christians, Catholics, and their neighboring allies around the world, but in Sri Lanka devastation was wrought. The Pearl of the Indian Ocean suffered the deadliest act of violence since the end of the 26 year-long civil war in 2009.
The wave of bombings began around 8:45 a.m on April 21st, 2019 and targeted
Roman Catholic houses of worship:
St. Anthony’s Shrine in Colombo, the capital;
St. Sebastian’s Church in Negombo;
and Zion Church in Batticaloa
and popular hotels:
the Cinnamon Grand,
and the Kingsbury, all in Colombo.
What's happening now?
The death toll is currently (April 21st) at 300 people with more than 450 people injured.
Swarms of people gather at hospitals to donate blood and the people on the ground are united rising above this atrocity.
What can you do?
We need more help. Hospitals need funds, victims and their families need financial assistance, and infrastructure intrinsic to the safety of communities needs to be rebuilt.
We identify that we do not have Local Crowd funding platform to help local, lot of Sri lankans who live in overseas want to help but there is no easy and quick platform for that we going to build that platform in this tragic moment and giving everyone to get help.
Then this platform will help to
Raise funds for emergencies like this ,Medical ,Build Religious places,Animal welfare,charity and etc with out any cost.
Funds utilized to build site and hosting ,rent office place and most of funds going for digital marketing.we have two volunteers to dedicate their time for free.
